As part of planning for our filmed rehearsal and to aid preparation towards our final shoot, I put together a film/visual treatment for Moving Day to send to HODs to communicate my vision in a visual way.
Notes on Treatment for Moving Day
Despite having experience directing student films for three years of university, a proper film/visual treatment isn’t something I’ve done since Moving Image Arts AS-Level. I found it beneficial to narrow down the visual ideas I had and clarify the intention and motive between creative approaches. Providing a treatment early in the pre-production process is something I will incorporate into my directorial practice moving forward.
