Representing The Real – Post-Production
Representing The RealFor our documentary (still unnamed) we are now in post-production. Rather unexpectedly our previous editor dropped out, so we were left to find a solution. Thankfully Duncan our cinematographer is a competent editor with experience using AVID, so he has come to the rescue. Thanks Duncan! 🙂
As part of the editing process I have sat in on a few sessions with Duncan to collaborate on the narrative and give creative direction. Once we have reached ‘picture lock’, we will hand over to Alex who will do the sound design to ensure the sound quality of our documentary is the best it can be.
It wasn’t ideal to have our editor suddenly become unable to participate, but thankfully our group is hard-working enough to make up for the lost time. I am very grateful to have Duncan and Alex with their respective post-production experience because otherwise it would’ve been far more stressful.
I’m optimistic about our documentary and think we have made something to be proud of and learnt valuable lessons along the way.
